PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

In exchange for the consideration of my job application by Lawn + Snow Dogs, I agree that neither the acceptance of this application nor the subsequent entry into any type of employment relationship, either in the position applied for or any other position, and regardless of the contents of employee handbooks, personnel manuals, benefit plans, policy statements, and the like as they may exist from time to time, or other Lawn + Snow Dogs practices, shall serve to create an actual or implied contract of employment, or to confer any right to remain an employee of Lawn + Snow Dogs, or to otherwise change in any respect the employment-at-will relationship between it and the undersigned, and that relationship cannot be altered except by a written instrument signed by the owner of Lawn + Snow Dogs. I understand and acknowledge that any employment relationship that may arise between the undersigned and Lawn + Snow Dogs is of an “at will” nature, which means that the employee may resign at any time and the employer may discharge the employee at any time, with or without cause.

I understand that Lawn + Snow Dogs may unilaterally change or revise their rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, including benefits plans, at any time, with or without notice, and that if employed, I will be bound by all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and subject to any benefits plans, in effect during my employment.

I authorize Lawn + Snow Dogs to investigate all statements contained in this employment application as may be necessary in arriving at an employment decision. I hereby give Lawn + Snow Dogs permission to contact schools, previous employers (unless otherwise indicated), references, and others referred to in my responses in this application, and I hereby release the Lawn + Snow Dogs from any liability resulting from such contact. In the event of employment by Lawn + Snow Dogs, I understand that false or misleading information given in my application or interview(s) may result in discharge.

I also understand that (1) the Company has an anti-drug and alcohol policy that may require testing for employment; (2) consent to and compliance with such policy is a condition of my employment; and (3) continued employment is based on the successful passing of testing under such policy.      

I further understand that, if employed, my employment with Lawn + Snow Dogs shall be probationary for a period of ninety (90) days, and further that at any time during the probationary period or thereafter, my employment relationship with Lawn + Snow Dogs is terminable at will for any reason by either the undersigned or Lawn + Snow Dogs.
